SUMMARY:Membership Class
DESCRIPTION:Covenant membership is a commitment to one another—a willing 
 pledge to guard\, care\, submit\, support\, and minister together for the 
 building up of our church body.\n\nThe first step to becoming a member at 
 Cross Cultured Church is to be baptized as a believer by immersion\, wheth
 er at Cross Cultured Church or elsewhere (previously). If you have not yet
  been baptized as a believer by immersion\, you can learn more about this 
 process on our Baptism page.\n\nIf you have been baptized\, your first st
 ep toward membership is to attend a Membership Class. The Membership Class
  has a two-fold purpose.\n\n 	To provide an informal setting to learn what
  the pastoral staff\, church\, and Baptists in general believe on various 
 topics. All are welcome\, whether or not they are interested in membership
 .\n 	To give an opportunity for potential members to become acquainted wit
 h a pastor who can help them connect with one or more of the church’s mi
 nistries. Attending this class is a requirement for church membership.\n\n
 The curriculum is composed of a two-and-a-quarter-hour teaching time cover
 ing the following:\n\n 	\nChurch Life (60 min)\n\n 	\nChurch Gatherings\n 
 	\nChurch Membership\n 	\nChurch Discipline\n\n\n 	\nCross Cultured Church
  (60 min)\n\n 	\nOur Church’s History\n 	\nOur Church’s Beliefs\n 	\nO
 ur Church’s Practice\n\n\n\nAfter the teaching time\, the class particip
 ants and teachers will share a meal together.\n\nIf you decide to move tow
 ard membership\, an elder will be available to meet with you after lunch. 
 Goals for this interview are ...\n\n 	To learn how the Lord saved you.\n 	
 To confirm that you understand the meaning of church membership.\n 	To con
 firm that there are no biblically warranted concerns with your joining Cro
 ss Cultured Church as a covenant member.\n 	To answer questions or help yo
 u find opportunities to connect at Cross Cultured Church.\n\nUpon congrega
 tional approval\, your next step may be baptism or covenant affirmation. L
